Meet the Captain
My name is Kinny Corthell. I grew up working in my parent's store, the Puffin Pig Gift Store in Whiting, and graduated from Washington Academy in 1983. After college I worked for 30 years for Uncle Sam.

I have long roots in in the area. In Eastport my great-grandfather owned the Horn Run Brewery building, known more than 100 years ago as the Corthell Gardner Building, which housed his grocery shop, and later opened the Riverside Hotel in 1908. My father was born in Eastport and loved talking about his childhood in the bustling port city. My grandfather and uncle ran the Pembroke Mobil plant until it was shut down . My family arrived in Washington county prior to the revolutionary war.

I’ve had a boat in Eastport for the last three years, and I have spent that time learning the local waters and spending time with Butch Harris (Eastport Windjammers) and his awesome crew. I upgraded my boat recently and acquired a 28-foot Parker. My slip in Eastport isn’t officially available until June 1, however, if available by Memorial Day, I plan to be open for business early.

My plan is to do trips for up to 6 passengers. I would love to hear from you about the kind of trips that would be popular. I do not want to duplicate what other companies are doing but rather I want to offer something new and different.
Your suggestions are welcome and, if not on here, can be emailed to eastportcharter@gmail.com or texted to 207-992-7008.

It is because of my son that I am starting my next chapter on the water. He urged me to join him in becoming a boat captain, but then he went in a different direction and recently started K. Corthell Construction in Pembroke. I continued pursuing his dream which became mine.
The boat name of DELKIN is from the first three letters of my daughter's name, Delaney, and the first three of my son's name, Kinsman.
